History

kCube was started by  Kumaran and Senthil Kumar, alumnus of College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna Univeristy in 2006. The goal was  to work with small businesses and provide them with innovative solutions.The timeline of the company and its growth story  is outlined  below.

2006 - Kumaran and Senthil move from US to India and started kCube to provide IT/GIS Services for small businesses using Open Source Solutions

2007 - Team size grows to eight and service offerings expanded from US to European countries.

2008 - Launches DataSteer a Precision Agriculture product to improve the productivity of farms by using GIS technology.

2009 - Starts kCube Academy to train Government,Private Organizations,Colleges in using Open Source Software.

2010 - Launches GeoBrowser WebGIS Platform to make WebGIS deployments easy and faster.

2011 - kCube opens Bangalore Sales and Marketing office. Sitansu joins kCube as Director Business Development to manage the Bangalore Office Operations. Expands Business Operation to South America.
